Deviousness |
The short waves in the forefront provide a very mystic warmth to the soul.. -very soothing.
As you begin to drift away into the picture, you notice two incredible parallels:
1) the incredible, mystic fog-like waves in the forefront are counter-balanced and equal to the stunning clouds in the sky -and taking up an equal share of the artist's canvas (film, in this case).
2) the rocks in the forefront seem unique, at least to me. The long narrow shapes, the dark colors of most of them -very nice and works into this artwork beautifully. Just as the clouds and waves occupy equal amounts of canvas space and proportion of canvas -the rocks and mountains also do.
The picture is well balanced, (from the top for example):
white clouds, dark mountains, water, dark rocks, white waves.
As a special treat to his viewers, the artist/photographer included the incredible sunlight gleaming through the center -not blindingly, but just enough to display the beauty of the water and all the nature which was captured.
As I said in the beginning -I love this picture, and I have looked at it many times before writing this.
Much Love, CovertRecon
I just never had the time to devote to the critique, and also, I had never done an official one before.
I see another one from you which is also very nice, i'll get to it when I can..... -you can send more if you'd like, as I enjoy your work.
I've been packing because I'm moving in a few weeks. I'm a single Dad of a 5 yr. old, and I learned I'm losing my job in 40 days.
So, that's why I've been so busy....-but beautiful artwork and photography are wonderful, temporary escapes for me -even if only for a fleeting moment, my friend.
